Is this irony, or just hypocrisy?

While looking for an old SNL clip of the Sprockets to research a potential Halloween "costume", I thought I'd look for KaZaA Lite, thinking NBC wouldn't mind me downloading someone's old video-taped segment. When I did a google search - I came across this statement:

In response to a complaint we received under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we have removed 1 result(s) from this page. If you wish, you may read the DMCA complaint for these removed results.

When a software producer whose tool is perhaps the biggest threat to digital copyright holders EVER protects itself under the DMCA - is that irony or just hypocrisy?

Stickies for Windows

I've been using these Stickies for Windows at home for a while now and they serve as a useful virtual replacement of postit notes that I tend to lose. I wanted to install the program at work, but had a hard time finding it on Google. Hopefully one more link will move it up some in the Google page rank...

Stupid Software Patents

SCO, Eolas and Microsoft: all they do is create work for the lawyers and troubles for the developers/users. SCO's longstanding claim on Linux can be read about here and here, with a satisfyingly ironical historical anecdote here.
