Ok, once again I din't watch the entire debate, but unlike the first debate, there didn't seem to be any clear winner yesterday. Bush did pretty well, Kerry could have done better. In the end, when I wasn't paying attention to the screen, Tivo switched to record an episode of Couplings instead of letting me finish the debate - I wasn't too upset...
But there was at least one moment that, as soon as Bush said it, I knew it would end up on the Daily Show - when Bush said:
"Gosh, I don't think I ever said I'm not worried about Osama bin Laden. That's kind of one of those exaggerations."I know I have heard him say something to that effect: the blatantly pro-Kerry site PoliticalWire.com caught it too: Quote of the Day. They found the statement from 2002 - I could have sworn I heard it later than that - like this spring?
