Titanium based solar cells

Day Star Technologies has an interesting new solar cell product based on titanium, rather than silicon.

Can't wait for the day when oil is used solely to make plastic, fertilizers, etc.

The End of Oil

Rolling Stone magazine weighs in on The End of Oil.

It's catalogued as News. Really? The conclusion makes me think that Rolling Stone still employs high-schoolers to write their pieces:

"The survivors will have to cultivate a religion of hope -- that is, a deep and comprehensive belief that humanity is worth carrying on. If there is any positive side to stark changes coming our way, it may be in the benefits of close communal relations, of having to really work intimately (and physically) with our neighbors, to be part of an enterprise that really matters and to be fully engaged in meaningful social enactments instead of being merely entertained to avoid boredom. Years from now, when we hear singing at all, we will hear ourselves, and we will sing with our whole hearts."

Multiple Computers - one keyboard and mouse

I'll have to play with this one day: Synergy

Synergy lets you easily share a single mouse and keyboard between multiple computers with different operating systems, each with its own display, without special hardware. It's intended for users with multiple computers on their desk since each system uses its own monitor(s).

Greenspan touts consumption tax

I've been in favor of a national sales tax ever since I took a public finance/tax policy class in college. The Forbes presidential bid made tax reform a hot-button item back then. Now Greenspan touts consumption tax as well.

"Addressing concerns about increased taxes on necessities like food, Greenspan said policy-makers could design a consumption tax that would exclude products mostly consumed by the poor."

Dataset Feature Requests

Sahil Malik has a list of Dataset Feature Requests spurred by Andrew Conrad's question What can we do to make DataSets better?

My input: How about the ability to have one datatable definition, but have it included in many datasets? For example I have a Notes table that is referenced in many other tables - I should be able to create one Note DataTable Type and have it contained in multiple DataSets.
